TERHADAP KURSUS TEKNOLOGI SISTEM PENGAJARAN

DI MAKTAB-MAKTAB PERGURUAN DI MALAYSIA

ABSTRAK



Kajian ini bertujuan menyelidiki persepsi para pensyarah dan guru-guru pelatih terhadap kursus Teknologi Sistem Pengajaran (TSP), salah satu kursus wajib di institusi/maktab perguruan di Malasyia. Aspek-aspek persepsi yang diselidiki ialah objektif, kandungan, strategi pengajaran-pembelajaran, dan penilaian kursus. Pengkaji menggunakan soal selidik untuk mengumpulkan data. Respondennya terdiri daripada 75 orang pensyarah TSP dan 625 orang guru pelatih dari 25 buah maktab. Satu hipotesis primer dan tiga hipotesis sekundar telah dibentuk dan diuji dengan Ujian-t dan Analisis Varians Sehala. Di samping itu, tiga persoalan kajian yang menyentuh golongan pensyarah sahaja, cuba dihuraikan juga secara deskriptif. Antara lain, kajian ini mendapati perkara-perkara berikut:



a. Perbezaan persepsi terhadap kursus TSP, di antara para pensyarah dan guru-guru pelatih adalah signifikan.



b. Persepsi terhadap kursus TSP di kalangan guru-guru pelatih kesan pembolehubah-pembolehubah jantina, ras dan kelulusan akademik menampakkan adanya persamaan dan perbezaan yang signifikan menurut aspek-aspek tertentu.



c. Persepsi terhadap kursus TSP di kalangan para pensyarah berkait dengan pembolehubah kategori dan bidang pengkhususan kursus itu, menunjukkan beberapa kesan yang menarik untuk difikirkan.



Berdasarkan dapatan-dapatan kajian ini, pengkaji menyarankan antara lain, perkara-perkara berikut:



a. Agar satu seminar diadakan untuk mempertingkatkan kursus TSP ini. Beberapa aspek persepsi yang berkait dengan beberapa pembolehubah perlu dijadikan teras penulisan kertas-kertas kerja dalam seminar tersebut.



b. Agar satu kajian lanjut dijalankan untuk menilai keberkesanan pengendalian kursus ke atas dua kumpulan guru pelatih: pertama, yang diajar oleh dua golongan pensyarah (Pensyarah TP dan Pensyarah SP); dan kedua, yang diajar oleh golongan pensyarah yang menguasai kedua-dua bidang TP dan SP.

TOWARDS THE TECHNOLOGY OF INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM

COURSE IN THE TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGES





ABSTRACT



The purpose of this research was to study the perception of lecturers and trainee teachers towards the Technology of Instructional System (TIS), one of the compulsory course in the teacher training colleges in Malaysia . The Aspects of perception studies were the objectives, contents, teaching and learning strategies, and the evaluation of the course.



The researcher had used questionaires to collect the data needed. The respondents consisted of 75 TIS lecturers and 625 trainee from 25 colleges. A premier hypothesis and three secondary hypothesis had been constructed and tested with the t-Test and one way ANOVA. Apart from that, two research subjects which concern the lecturers only, were illustrated descriptively.





This research came up with these conclusions:



a. The difference of perception towards the TIS course, between the lecturers and trainee teachers is significant.



b. The perception towards the TIS course amongst the trainee teachers, realted to these variables: sex, race and academic qualification shows a similar and distinct effects according to the particular aspect.



c. Perception towards TIS course amongst the lecturers related to these varables: category and course fields, shows some interesting effects.



Based on the results of this research, a few recommendations had been made as follows:



a. A seminar should be orgaised to improve the TIS course. A few perception aspects which are related to a few variables need to be considered as a foundation to write the working papers.



b. An advanced research could be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the TIS course amongst two groups of trainees: The first group that been thought by the two groups of lecturers (Educational Technology and Library Science Lecturers); and the second group that had been thought by the group of lecturers who are mastering both Educational Technology and Library Science fields.
